Contemplating figure 1

A portrait marking the beginning of my new era, I hope. I tried to bring my drawing more into painting and still like the result. Enjoy.

Viera

I have been to a gallery again (exhibition Nightfall, in Prague's Rudolfinum). Before that, I painted this. I always thought that they could include a little intro text with each of the paintings in galleries (Instead of Untitled #3, YYYY, charcoal on plastic ). I have seen this once in Manchester Art Gallery and found it such a great intro to a picture. Instead of a paragraph full of artistic critique non-sense that attempts to be all encompassing on gallery room walls. So, this is Viera. She picked the dress, sat quietly until I drew her on initial sketch. Then, she could not stand it anymore and had to join the fun on another paper.

Daisies given

Three weeks ago, I have painted my best flower piece so far. And parted with it within several days. The digital memory is what I am left with. For friends. As usual, acrylics on cardboard.

Tulips painting comparison

This is my version of tulips. And this is a version by Gabi, the 5 year old. I already have my favorite. What's your favorite?

Celosia with clove pinks

I feel this will be the last flower set for some time. It has been one of the last warm days here in Prague before autumn really kicks in. I have actually seen the celosia flower (cockscombs) for the first time today. It is quite extraordinary. Acrylic, on 70*100cm cardboad

Solitude

Everything but me is big, means being alone in size. Acrylic, on 70*100cm cardboad

Gerbers

Now, these came out easy. For me this was a relaxing painting session with a few obstructions on the way. Nonetheless, gerbers seem to be a very rewarding subject and I like the simple colors. Acrylics on 70x100cm cardboard

Warming up

My oeuvre is getting better nowadays. I took soul from my wife finally and again. This time, she was very patient, which is not always the case. I usually get suggestions that I should use some photo referrence. Aargh... Enjoy! Acrylics on 70x100cm cardboard

It has not dried yet

After a certain time of suffering the insufficience, the quickening came. I had to publish it right away, since I dont know if I like it yet or not. This is painting of my colleague Matthias. He said he looked very unhappy. However, this is my truth. Should you be interested in expressing your opinion, please let me know. Acrylic on 70x100cm cardboard

Orchids

These would be orchids for sure, who can say anything else? It was kind of a sketchy paint, but does not appear to be vulnerable to everyday sight. I hope to paint more of the fresh flowers as it comes to be a rewarding experience. Acrylic, on 70*100cm cardboard

Guess who?

That would be me. Yes, there is not many more words spending worth. Francis Bacon won't be jealous for this one, will he? Acrylic , on 70*100cm cardboard

Black Hill

I would consider this as an appropriate first addition to my publishing experience. The reason is that this was really one of the first paintings I have produced and found to my liking. This is a depiction of my view at the old place in Prague 5. Acrylic , on 70*100cm cardboard
